turtling onward

I'm always amazed by people who spend a whole weekend writing, having 50+ pages to show for their efforts by Monday. Me? I tend to write in 500-word chunks. Once in awhile, if there's a lot of dialogue in the scene I'm working on, I'll maybe break 1000. But I keep coming back to it, so 500 + 500 + 500 + ... = a new manuscript. It just takes me a little while to get there.

I'm the same way. I think I work better in short bursts. I keep imagining Dory from Finding Nemo saying, "Keep swimming..."
